A Semester in England

Paris!!!!!!!!!!!

welp i spent the weekend in Parie and might be slightly obsessed with the Eiffel Tower it is gorgeous and at night every hour on the hour it flashes for five minutes and the first night we went to see it light up at midnight and it was amazing!!! the second night we were a litlle late but caught it on the other side of the bridge!! Amazing!!!! I love Paris!!!! if they spoke English i would sooo want to live there except for the fact that it frequently smells pretty wierd.... anyway no matter it is Paris and i would love to go bakc without the hassle of missing the bus. we ended up waking up late on Sunday morning and had to run to catch a bus that we were late to check in but not to make the bus so we ended up getting on the 10pm bus with the boys and got to ride the ferry instead of taking the chunnel, so now i can say that i have done both!!! anyway i got a slideshow this morning from gram that had pics of the kids that I took at CHristmas and it made me miss them even more!! just wanted to go home and hug em all!! Can't wait to see you on Easter!!!! welp hopefully if the money situation holds out then i will be able to go to Rome next weekend!!!! that would be amazing!!! anyway i have three weeks left to live it up and am ready to come home but don't know how i will survive without good old Canterbury!! and everyone that is here!!! I guess the decision will come soon enough!! anyway gotta go miss you all bunches and cannot wait to see you!!!!

welp sadly it is time for me to do my homework!! unfortunatly i am sore and tired and my throat hurts but i am sucking it up like a big girl!!! the e-mails that i keep getting are making me feel amazingly loved and sometimes even making me cry, like this morning!! but hey i have made it this far right?? anyway...... Windsor castle was so much fun!! i just sent all of the pictures home and am starting to realize that i have nothing to do with these pics and will prolly be scrapbooking this trip until i die but that is ok!! anyway i really should go write my paper but if i get bored i will prolly type more!!! love ya!!!

welp it is a new day and sadly the only thing that is going to happen today is me writing papers!!! that is as soon as i feel better!! anyway it is getting colder here last night it was about 29 if my math is correct.... everything is going well but i am starting to miss the people that actually know me! anyway..... hope everyone has a great day and writes back!!!!

well after reading my emails i realized that i have been lacking on sending things home so i am going to put it on the top of the list right after papers of course.... anyway last weekend i was in London and loved every minute of it!!! then i came back home to pack and go to class and do about three days of the whole school thing... got kinda bored and raced off to scotland!! that was amazing and i am putting pictures up really soon!!!! this weekend is windsor castle and then a day in paris!! this traveling buissness is out of control i mean really?? but it is so much fun!! anyway as much as i try every picture that i have taken or taken of me for that fact are on facebook so if you ever really need to see my face that is where to start!!! random fun fact for today i have become obsessed with scones so you know if anyone would want to find me some for when i get home.......

yeah Canterbury is amazing and i love it here, but honestly i miss my car!! and all of the kids!!! looking forward to seeing everyone the second thati get home!!! pictures coming soon!!!!!

wow well sorry that it has been so long since i have written!! if you would really like to know something just e-mail me and i will get right back to you!! i check it several times a day!!! anyway...... we are all headed off to London to stay for the weekend on friday!!! last week we took a day trip to Brighton and hung out on the beach and walked along the pier, it was a little cold but gorgeous!!! i think that i have spent more money in the last month than i have ever spent in my life but am coming to terms with it!! we offically have trips for the next two weekends, next weekend is Scottland!!!! I heard that everyone had a blast at aunt Joan's birthday party!! Good job Sara for pulling that one off!!! Hope the crazy weather is finding you all well and that no one stays sick for too long!! everything over here is amazing!! i am loving every second and some maybe a little too much, i'm not gonna lie!! anyway that is all that i have for now everyone have a bright and sun shinny day!!!!!

well this weekend was pretty quiet, i had dinner yesterday with Muriel and some of the kids from her church. That was pretty fun. Other than that the weekend has been pretty calm. We are trying to plan a girls night, but i do not know how that will turn out but seriously looking forward to it!!! i sent out the pictures from Dover castle. I was a little disappointed that i didn't get a little bit of a better pic of the white cliffs but i think that i got a postcard of it so everything is ok!! I was so proud of myself last night i looked through all of my pictures from home without even wanting to cry! Needless to say i still miss everyone but i think that i am just having some fun at this point!! I have offically started another day in the computer lab of the Student Union!! so yeah everything is going great and the next feild trip is next friday i beleive and that one is to London?? i will have to double check!!!

Good Morning!!!

Alright well it is a new day in Canterbury and it started with Art class. where i proceeded to get paint all over my hands but luckily not on my clothes. I put up two more pictures on my bullitin board last night! I could actually look at them without crying! it was a miracle. I still miss my car though! all of the walking is starting to kill me. The whole eating thing has really taken a backseat while I am here, I actually think that my stomach starting eating itself! it was really disturbing!! I have offically decided to start carrying snacks with me!! I also desperatly need to find a jacket! something that is in between my coat and my sweater! however, the search is not going so well!!

our first weekend long trip was booked yesterday, to Eddinbourgh and york over Jessica's birthday, Feb 15-17!!! the weekend of Feb 1 we are thinking of Paris but that is getting close and we may have to push it back.

Anyway, I will write more and prolly send pics soon because tomorrow is Dover Castle!!! Love ya bunches!!!

Alright well, it is safe to say that i am doing better today than i was yesterday!!! i finished my paper for tomorrow did my homework for shakespeare and have class in about 45 minutes!!! Travel plans are starting to get more final and i have sent everyone at least a link to a new slideshow, however i think that it would be a miracle if i actually sent the slideshow! i just cannot get things to work today!!! Anyway i am going to go and get ready for class!! talk to you later!!!

Reflections of Week 1

Well i think that the lacjk of routine is finally starting to catch up with me. The rain and the late night have brought on a cold and the lack of eating well is not helping. Lst night I had my first lazy night and just watched tv and chilled. My first homework assignment is due tomorrow and it is not going to be fun! Speaking of that Saturday night was a blast us girls plus Aaron and Chris minus a sick Jill all went out and had a blast!!! The rest of this week will be devoted to finding my British schedule, starting with a little music detox! !!! So other than a lack of schedule and the stupid toe that i broke last year throbbing like no other everything is going pretty well.

I had dinner yesterday with Muriel and Matt. We had SHepards pie and veggies. She said that it was a weekly thing to make dinner for whom ever was there on Sunday afternoon. ALso, next week she is supposed to have people from her church over, she estimated about ten.

Today is going to be spent doing homework and getting ready for the week of classes.

Last night I got pretty HOmesick, walking home i realized that I really really miss my car and that i miss my house!! Everything is alright, i distracted myself with some tunes and Tetris that i found on my phone!! THe waves come and go but over all I love it here!! However, I can say with most certainty that this is the adventure of my life and once i get home I will be ready to settle in and grow up!!

So don't worry about me everything we be alright and i will see all of your bright and shinny faces when i get home on Easter!!!!

This morning was a very slow and amazing one! i did not leave the house until 12 and only woke up at 9. After being in England for six days this is the longest amnount of time that i have spent at my homestay!! Yesterday was amazing, between the Cathedral and St. Augustine's, i was captivated!!
tonight we are all having dinner at our mentor's house and planning the trips that we are going to be taking outside of the uk!! I sent some pictures yesterday and i think that i have found an easier way to send them so that you will get to see more with me doing less work!!! Well hope everyone has a great day!! ......Until tomorrow!!!

Today we took a walking tour of the city, which has been covered in the last week. the Cathedral is amazing and it was raining during the ruins so it could have been better. Our first trip out of the city is next friday, to London!!
